Hey I got a kj s2 blackout cluster and I went to install it in my tj s2 exec but I ran into a problem, the plugs don't match up and the kj seems to be alto smaller, from what I've been told from the seller and on this forum is that it's ment to be Plug and play but this is not the case.... The plug part never happened haha

They should be, are you sure you have a KJ2 cluster?
Obviously you're certain you have a TJ2, you have a digital cluster in yours then, yes?

You must have a series 1 TJ and a series 2 KJ cluster or the other way around otherwise it should be straight plug and play. The clusters are the same size though.

The dealer said it was tj s2, it also has a 3.5l engine..

This may be the problem. Look up the VIN and or manufacturing date and post them up.

Does you original cluster have a digital odometre or normal type odometre?

Normal and The vin is 6mmtj8d421t027370

Then you have a TJ series 1. The cluster you have will not work in your car.

Judging from the seat material it's a TJ series 1, seeing I have one.
Do Series 2 normally have an extra badge on the bodywork?

You have a series 1 TJ. Sorry champ. You can fit your cluster, but you must change the top dash wiring harness.

You have a TJ series 1, the cluster you ordered was listed as and is a series 2 cluster

As you have already some days ago contacted us through e-bay we have offered to give you a refund provided the cluster is returned to us in the same condition it was sent to you in with the only stipulation that we will take $15 to cover our initial postage costs to you as we should not be out of pocket for the postage cost. (yes was a free post listing but as all would be aware postage still costs us to send to you in the first place)

Your other option is to get a loom from a series 2 and thread that through, dash does not have to come out to do that if you dont mind keeping the old loom tucked away in the dash
