Hey another question, i have got dba t2 front rotors, dba 4000hd drilled and slotted rears, qfm hpx pads, motul rbf 660 fluid, The brakes are pretty good but get fade fairly quickly.... are there any better pads than the QFM HPX pads? I dont care for brake dust or noise, and are the safebrake braided lines worth the money as my pedal is fairy "old standard a bit soft" feel to it...will the braided lines give me that firmness like how brand spanka new cars have?? I have not changed the lines in 9 years so yeh let me know

braided lines are a great upgrade on any car but you'll get the most benefit out of it if you put on good street performance discs and pads and swap out the brake fluid for castrol super dot 4. best high performance brake upgrade around that isn't a aftermarket brake caliper kit, brembo etc

Youll need performance pads to negate fade. Try project mu b spec or project mu NS

Why on earth would you replace motul 600 perfotmance fluid with regular casttol? It will perform worse

The HPX pads tend to have a 'soft' progressive feel anyway. Less initial bite than most stock or basic pads, but they firm up nicely when you apply more pressure. I prefer that to pads which grab like crazy as soon as you touch the brake pedal, makes for a much smoother ride.

I've got two Magnas with identical, standard brakes, identical right down to the make and wear on the pads.
One has a solid pedal, with instant braking when the pedal is pushed.
The other has a soft, soggy pedal and needs a heavy push to get some bite.

A previous thread suggested some brake boosters are "just like that". Worth looking at.

The soggy one has a PCV valve that isn't working properly, it may be preventing the brake booster from getting a good vacuum when the car is first started, that is where I'm starting with this problem car anyway.

I've installed the Safebrake braided lines on my 380 VRX S1 with slotted rotors front and back with QFM HPX pads Penrite super dot 4 fluid for me they were worth the money and very easy to install everything lined up perfectly. Has given the brakes a better feel from stock and has saved me and the 380 stopping quicker with Broken Hill doggy drives. So for $189 a fairly cheap upgrade and they look good too.

If you are driving in a way that makes your current brake setup fade on a regular basis, maybe a K-Sport upgrade like Fooz or Kif would be worth looking into...

i would not trust k sport as far as i could throw them LOL, ive seen way to many of their products fail, i know people on this forum have used their products with success.....Taiwan/china/no quality control products i just do not trust.....and a bit to much money for the brand.....can get second hand evo bremboones and get them to fit then reco them for more or less

Ive never heard anything bad about taiwanese coilovers lol
