As the thread title suggests, does anyone know of differences between the fuel pumps on third gens? Particularly between the 2.4l 4 cylinder, and the 3.0l v6.

I'm restoring a TF wagon at the moment and it needed a fuel tank, so I have a fuel tank but it's off a wagon that had a 2.4l 4 banger.

As the car has a 3.0l v6 I'm thinking there might be flow issues if the 4 cylinder cars had lower rated pump. I wouldn't think there would be too much difference but I might end up putting a 3.5l or 3.8l in it one day and wouldn't want to drop the fuel tank off again.

This might be a question for Mal.. :ninja:

Nobody?

The denso 195130 part number on the fuel pump seems like a very generic pump, used in many cars. So maybe the fuel tank from the 2.4l wagon had an aftermarket pump?

If this ever comes up again, it looks like the fuel pumps across all third gens are rated the same across the range.

I ended up putting a walbro in my sedan and putting my old stock one in my wagon.
