Well the Ralliart had decided to not turn the aircon off when it is turned off inside. Cool air continues when it is switched off so I assume the compressor is not disengaging. The A/C fan turns off though.

Anyone had this issue?

I have never heard of this issue before.

Maybe check the compressor relay in the main fuse box in the engine bay.

We had been on a drive (about 50km). Temp outside about 30. It was actually getting cold with the temp set on 25 degrees. I've actually found the Ralliart air con to be VERY effective (better then our 380 and i40). After leaving the car for an hour, the compressor seems to switch on and off again so I'll have to wait to see if it does it again. The clutch has been a little noisy at times so I wonder if the A/C compressor clutch is the issue? Most likely......

On our old TM Magna, we had the A/C compressor clutch stick on - in the middle of winter. Driving along, we would get very cold air coming into the car for a while until eventually the airflow would stop completely - the evaporator had iced up. We would turn the fan on high and after a while it would melt and then we would actually get small flakes of snow blowing out of the air vents!

My guess is that the clutch on your A/C compressor is full of crap and is not shutting off. Maybe time to dismantle it (don't de-gas unless absolutely necessary. I used to replace the spring in our old A/C compressor without de-gassing. Not easy, but doable.

Snow would be nice at the moment but not from a faulty clutch!
