Went to the tire place had them check out whats going on with my car.
They said the lower control arm bushings are shot, so I figured okay I'll order some up.
That's the issue, I cant find a lower control arm for the front? All I see is rear suspension.

Is the rear the same as the front?

replaced mine a little while ago, no the rear is different to the front, got them from an auto store here in AUS i cant find the receipt sorry. just asked for a lower control arm bushing

Might want to do a search on the forums. I remember something about the metal being too thin to press in a new bush and possibly causing distortion and the arm to fail. From memory the solution was to either get a new arm or a good 2nd hand one.

It is not advised to press in new balljoints, chances are you will warp something, your safest bet is finding decent 2nd hand arms.

I replaced the lower control arms on my AWD about a year or so ago. With a trade discount from my local Mitsubishi dealer they were about $450 for the pair. They come complete with ball joints and bushings.

The metal thickness issue has to do with fitting new ball joints. Replacing the inner front and rear bushes on the front lower control arms is perfectly possible and after-market bushes for this purpose are available from several sources including SuperPro and Nolathane.

I'm not certain, but I think fifteenjr is having a problem finding replacement new items because the USDM Diamante he has is fitted with the same type of control arms as the Verada sold here. I think I recall a comment from MadMagna that the Verada control arms were no longer available from Mitsubishi. The standard Magna control arms, which have a different rear bush/mounting arrangement, are still available I believe (I replaced mine about 9 months ago).

I seem to recall the Verada/Diamante control arms being described as the "nut" type and the Magna control arms described as the "pin" type due to the differences.

Yeah a few places I've gone don't have them. It's a longshot but you wouldn't happen to have a part # or something on the bushing? Cause I also just tried to look up the bushing itself at the various stores around here and it didn't pull anything up.
I could probably ring up the stealership and see what they may have too.

Or maybe either one of those two places ship international? That'd be sweet. :)

I have US market catalogue if you have the VIN I should be able to get exact number but so should any US dealer.
