Cruise control

Thanks, MadMax. They are are in my Dirt Circuit car and I have left them in the car because I couldn't find out what they did.

Can anyone give me a reason why I can't remove them??? Its an 05 AWD completely gutted for Dirt Racing.

Somebody built this car, or at least added these bits, why not ask them?

First one is an acceleration sensor used with the ABS system most likely.

Second one is a speed control sensor, not sure of its application.

Hi MadMax, These are standard bits fitted by Mitsubishi when Mitsubishi built the car. I thought they may be ABS controls so left them in. The car is now being raced and I have removed all unneeded electronics. A/C, Radio, central locking, etc, etc , etc.

Hi Zilo, My other thought was that maybe the black one has something to do with the airbags. I have seen a similar item pictured as a collision sensor in pre SRS Magnas

Collision sensor sounds good. If it isn't there to trigger airbags, perhaps it is there to cut power to the fuel pump in an accident?

Perhaps disconnect each one, then run the car? This will tell you if you need them or not.

From the way they are mounted, I got the impression they were an add on. Sorry about the confusion.
