hey guys.
got two issues with the VR-X:

1.squeaky bar.

since the second visit to the panelbeaters the front bar has developed a squeak. i can trace it hopefully to those brackets that connect the reo to the foglight housings.the bar is hanging down a bit due to a bolt not done entirely up so that may fix it but otherwise any other possibilities/fixes???

2. door seal wind noise

since i've had the vrx i have some wind noise from the b pillar when traveling at speed.at 70-100+ it is extremely noticeable and had kif complain about it at mm13 lol. i feel the door isint aligned properly and this may fix it so my questions are:

- how do i realign the door itself?
- what also could cause it (mal mentioned the the seals themselves could be the culprit as well)

thanks.

i believe the door is aligned by the door latch. if you look at the latch you ll notice that the 2 bolts can be undone and you can sort of move it about(dont undo the bolts all the way, just enough to move the latch). i know this as my driver side door was out of alignment slightly(i noticed mostly when looking at the doors through the driver side mirror - it wasnt flush)

so i un did the latch and played around with it. takes a bit of trial and error to get it right.

My Ralliart bar squeaked like crazy after I had it replaced a few years back. I ended up putting in some double sided tape where it seems to rub against the car. Just started is squeak again now. I guess the tape has worn through.

As for the door wind noise, check that the rear windows are held firm against the seal. If not, a plastic guide/finger in the door frame may have broken (I think Mitsubishi call them a hook window stabiliser). These parts guide the glass firmly against the rubber when closed but are a common failure on third gen magnas. About $7 each new (2012) from MMAL and an easy repair. When I had excessive B pillar noise, this was the culprit.

Obviously above only one of the possible causes but a common one.

ok so an update.bar squeak was solved by tightening that bolt that was loose.however i checked those guides mentioned and they are intact.beginning to think the rhs window seal has carked it.
