I've noticed when driving with my window down a light metallic clicking noise coming from the right hand rear. Seems to be more noticeable on warmer days and gets louder under loading eg left turns. Pulled the wheel off but couldn't see any obvious cause. Any hints?

stone/nail/screw in tyre tread
defective tyre
stone caught in caliper/pad area
disc pads moving about
brake shoes or drum problem
slash shield damaged/bent, contacting disc
worn wheel bearing

Thanks Max. Process of elimination points to the wheel bearing. What $ range should I expect to replace both rears?

Depends on how much they cost, and if you can DIY.

(Translation: I have no idea!)

It's not too hard a job. I did these on a HJ galant and the setup is very similar, in fact almost the same design really. I know one of the arms is in fact the same part as the 3rd gen

I always thought bearings rumbled or whined when they went. Never realised they clicked too.
