So I have recently put a second hand door on magna, but it has powered windows and I can't connect the electrics. (turns out the door is a KF or something, and it is not compatible with a TJ. Stupid wreckers telling me lies)

I want to know if I am able to connect an alternate battery up to the window motor so the powered window still works?
Or perhaps connect it to the car battery in some other way?

Couldn't you take the bits from the old door and convert the new one to a manual winder?

Looked into that, not sure how to do it properly.
It also just seems easier to attach a wire to the motor, and run it through to a battery pack I have down the side of the door.
I will also get powered windows this way too.
But yeah, what you said is still an option if this doesn't work.

Are you saying that the TJ you have only has manual windows? If not:

IMO the easiest way is to remove the TJ loom from your old door, remove the KF loom from your new door and swap them over.

The KF where it comes into the cabin has 3 rows of pins on the plug, this TJ should have 2 rows of pins.

Only takes a couple of hours, but this is only if your old loom is a power window loom.

That is correct.

You can swap the guts out of the door to use the manual winder or run wires to the door. That battery pack won't run the motor.

I guessed as much.
I just don't know how to do it.

Its not too hard, get yourself a repair manual its all listed in there, its quite easy.

You have to get the power window gear out of the door which is only a matter of a few nuts and bolts, however you do need to tape the glass in place so it doesnt fall and smash. Then after that you fit the manual reg which is easy and then just swap the looms bit by bit so you know where it follows. Like I said easy, but ive done it quite a few times.
