First of all, sorry for the newbie question, but i've only had this car for a month or so now and i'd rather not stuff it up. =0)

The only cosmetic problem with my 96 Verada is that there is significant wear on the passenger and drivers side front armrests.

Basically I want to remove them, smooth them out and respray them. What I want to know is if I can just prise them off from the top safely, without doing any damage, or do I have to do something further, like remove part of the door interior?

Has anyone done this before?

Cheers,

howz it goin,

You'll need to take the whole door trim off.

I think from memory, there are screws that need to be undone...

Whatever you do, DO NOT pry it off!!:P

thats about it.... :D

Whatever you do, DO NOT pry it off!!:PThat's what I was looking for, thanks mate. =0)

Removing the door trim eh? Sounds like I may have to recruit one of my friends who actually knows what he's doing for that.

Thanks again.

I was wondering the same thing. On the passenger side door and rear doors, they just pop out with a little bit of encouragement, the Drivers is certainly firmly secured.

To remove the trim....
* Wind the window down
* 3 screws....
1 x inside door handle opener - have to pull the handle to see the screw
1 x inside door armrest - behind a little plastic panel
1 x behind black triangle bit @ top of door. The panel should just pop out.
* Then pull the bottom part of the trim off, and it should snap out of position, and it should slide upwards
