Hi,
My 04 TW VRX has been having a little trouble
When I don't drive the car for 48 hours it has trouble starting
Like it'll tick and start then stall all by itself
To keep it going I have to keep the revs at 2500rpm for 15-20 sec
It only happens of cold mornings and when it hasn't been driven for two days
I think it could be...
A) bad fuel batch. It's only started since I last re fuelled it
B) battery needs replacing
Can you guys help me?
Thanks.

If it starts, then stops, then starts normally second time, usually means battery.

Check battery voltage after leaving the car for 2 days and while cranking it.

As said it can be the battery as the ECU will shut off the car if the voltage drops to save itself from damage.
How old is the battery?
Although, saying that it could be the immobiliser ring around the ignition barrel.
Just have to pull it apart and re-bend the connections.
This was the problem I had on my magna when everyone said it was the battery.

I'm unsure of the age of the battery, but it's been in the car since I bought it Jan 2013
It's a kmart tyre and auto one

Batteries often have a month and year stamp on one of the posts for warranty purposes.
My TL is in the same position, battery came with the car, no idea of how old it really is. Must have a look today.
Have you checked the battery cca

No point posting in this thread, last post was 6 months ago. I'm sure the owner has fixed the problem, but hasn't bothered reporting back.
