Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has had experience with parts from "Ultra Cheap Auto Parts" in NSW.
Their prices seem really good. E.g Ignition leads for 2002 GTV Verada = $82.54 compared to Bursons $130. Was wondering if the quality of their parts is on par with Bursons, Repco etc.
I am planning a big service and parts replacement on my new vehicle, so judging by these prices, I could save a lot, providing there is no lack of quality.
Thanks in advance.

Ask them what the brand of their ignition leads are, and the same for whatever other parts you require and work from there.

I just installed them in my Magna. I was not impressed with the Eagle Premium Ignition leads.
I kept having to pull the electrode out of the hole with pointy nose pliers in order to get it to plug into dizzy cap. The electrode kept trying to disappear up the outer rubber coating. I've never had that issue before with other leads.
Next time I'll stick with Bosch

Yeah I thought there was a good chance they might be inferior in quality. I want my car to run well, so might just spend the extra $ and go for better quality.....in saying that, I am unsure of what brand Bursons supply. That'll be my next step.

We only use genuine leads. Too many repeated issues with aftermarket ones and genuine last tears as we know by the fact our cars often have 10 year old leads on them

:woot:My old TE has 415k on the clock but still has the factory leads dated 1996

Mine has 179k with original leads from 1999
I've also experienced a faulty set of Eagle leads. Granted it was only one of them at fault but they're not worth the bother if you get a bad one.

Checked out the plugs and leads from Mitsubishi and they are around the same price, so I'll be opting for genuine. However, the rocker cover gaskets + seals from mitusbishi = $188.15inc. Mainly because I got quoted $20/seal...thats gotta be a mistake right? Considering Bursons offer both rocker cover gaskets plus the 6 seals (over two kits) for $70.
Now if I were to buy the leads from Mitusbishi, am I correct in believing they will come with the tube seals anyway? In which case I could just buy the genuine gaskets seperately, as there is not much price difference in them by themselves anyway.
Would the gaskets and seals really matter if genuine or not?
And on another note, would it be sensible to stay genuine for:
1). Oil Filter
2). Fuel Filter
3). Tranny fluid
4). Coolant
5). Brake fluid
And things like exhaust mounts, bump stops, engine oil should be all good to go a different brand?
Sorry for the extended questions, just want to make sure I get a few different opinions on the stuff I'll be replacing and get it right. I took care with my S2000 and it ran sweet because of it.

Yeah genuine parts and fluids are always the best if you can get your hands on them, but some people swear by some of the after market parts and fluids. I've used Ryco filters and Penrite oils without any problems.
