Ok my 380 has earnt its stripes....and i really mean earnt it....Decided to track the car and all i can say is WOW....With the right set of tyres/brakes and driver you can really have fun at the track with these things, i was breathing down the necks of evos/rexies/skylines/v8s and hondas...with the usual intake/exhaust/tune/suspension work done to them....NOTHING MAJOR....just the basics

Every person was asking me is my car awd? is it super charged? what work do you have done etc....

I thought i killed my car....Basicly i tracked it all day LONG...with cools downs inbetween of course...

Now what hapened on my first run and after that more runs

I was doing SOLID 25min session before i noticed my temp gauge went near the red zone.....i was redlining most of the time and over revving down shifting here and there...(used to my other car longer ratios).....I kept going HARD even though the engine was HOT, was not loosing any power, or check engine lights for another few mins until my brakes decided to catch on FIRE....Yes FIRE....So i cooled down the car with a few mins cruising...temp gauge maintined up towards the red mark....the moment i pulled over within 2mins the temp went back down to normal....But i did notice the coolant hoses where SOFT i mean really SOFT while the gauge was still high....but after coming down to normal temp they went nice and hard again...oil was fine, coolant was fine...

I know the dangers of over ref and over heat on engines, i wanted to see this car limits

I had people come to me saying my brakes where on fire, all 4 discs glowing ORANGE...Flames coming out the exhaust during shifts while we where racing.....I thought yep ive killed it...After a solid cool down.....Ive got my fingers crossed that it would start and get me home....I turn the key and it ran like nothing ever hapended.....temps normal, brakes still good, everything felt the same...and after my second run same thing hapended and the 3rd and 4th run.....People where shocked to see my car was still bloody running strong like when i done my first session.....the brakes did fade on me and fluid boil...but still good fluid and brakes when back down to normal/high temps...i decided to leave when i noticed i spent over $300 on fuel for the day and wire hanging out of my treads all round....These cars on the track with foot work through corners ( "LEFT FOOT BRAKING") handle like AWD cars

Do note these cars drink oil when hammered...after each session i had to add 500-750mls of oil to keep it just at the full mark

This car does need improved oil and water cooling, which i will be looking into customizing path

These cars are bloody fun, and with the right stuff done for the tack you can have real fun and laugh at guys that over heat and blow shit up on the track after a few mins...who did not see my car on the track before hand beating "their kind of cars" and comment to their mates, "that shit box will brake down after 1 lap i reckon"

Prep work for the track before a went

DBA T2 Front Rotors
DBA Slotted and drilled rear rotors HD
QFM HPX Front Pads
QFM HPX Rear Pads
Special V8 Super car brake fluid (dont ask me)
18x8 light weight rims, 35deg of set
245,40,18 Falken 912
4 wheel aligment (mild settings)
Oil Catch can (did help)
Nulon 10w-40 oil
Nulon red coolant 60/40 mix
Speical manual gearbox oil 75w-90 API Gl 4 (pm me or details) Smooth as butter shifting

Next track session i plan on adding

Safebrake braided lines
QFM AR1M Pads all round (they can cut to size)
New tyres hahahaha
4 Wheel Aligment (aggressive)
Nulon 10w-40 oil overfill by 500mils
Redliine water wetter coolant
All other fluids flushed
Higer pressure radiator cap

Remove brake dust covers (to allow better cooling)
Try and open up sections leading to the radiator to allow more air flow

See how we go then and then start on suspension...

any questions please ask

If you are chewing through your tyres that quickly and you want to make a habit of getting onto the track, how about buying some track rims? Say, a set of Evo 7 rims (lightweight and will clear big brake if necessary) with some Achilles 123S tyres (budget semi slick).

Should bring a Go Pro next time too :)
