Hello guys,
Currently I'm replacing my TJ sports clutch, but I cannot put my gearbox back to car because the room between left side frame and pressure plate is too small! Also there have 4 engine mount bolt stud make things more messy. And the information about this problem is very few...
Is anybody have some tips to do this? Any help would be appreciative!
Thanks in advance.

lower the engine down on the left side to give you more room.

I just finished putting my gearbox back in my car, i swore at the stupid thing because it came out easy enough but then seemed to be not enough room to get the box up past the LH side k frame...
Sound familiar? :)
In the end, i lifted the motor up as high as i could, maneuvered the gearbox on the jack up and over the frame rail and somewhat onto the pressure plate, then lowered the jack/crane/engine back down to give me room to line it all up and push it on.
It slid on effortlessly and i cracked the shits because it was supposed to be that easy to start with.

And this is why I prefer to work on bikes, you can hold the engine in your hands

Thanks you all guys! Two days ago finally I put my box back onto my cars.:woot:
Here is my way:
1.Get the box as close as possible to the vertical line of pressure plate edge (don't lift it now)
2.Than lower the engine side as crackajnr says (it's really works!! Thanks mate!(Y))
3.Slant the box and make bell housing higher than gear side (about 20-30 degrees) (this should give you enough room to avoid LH frame and the stud not hit the frame)
4.Slow lift the box and make sure it won't hit anything
5.When it reach desired height, raise the gear side of box than align it's central line to the engine
6. Align the spline to the hub of driven plate (I use the inspection camera here so it's very easy for me lol)
After do things above, your gearbox should stick to the engine and ready to deliver 6G74's full power now.
Oldf4g: Yeah, I thought it was very easy at first. (It took me about 1 day to figure out how to put it:roflwtf:) Maybe the transmission lifter will make it easier:cool:
Millenium7: Hmm...I think if you are very very strong men, than you can lift cars engine too lol
By the way, new clutch just awesome! No more slippery! I don't know this 6G74 can be that powerful! And compared to the old one, it very light! So I was in doubt it can catch the engine or not.
