Hello all,

I have here a KL AWD that has done a few klms now, and has a strange scraping noise coming from the front left wheel. I have checked the brake stone shields and the shims, I have checked the pads,

The noise doesn't go away when stopping and seems directly related to speed.

Turning doesn't affect it and the CV boots are really good nick and sealed.

Any Ideas?

Have you swapped wheels lh to rh? MIght be a wheel weight coming lose.

Take the wheel off there and put the spare on. If the noise goes away you have a ruined tyre. I had a scraping noise from a tyre, I guess water had gotten into the tyre and the rusty steel belts were grinding on each other every revolution.

check the plastic shrouds in the wheel well. mine came loose and hit the wheel, gouging a big hole in one and a small hole in the other
