I've managed to come accross a few cheap Apexi Gauge which normally retail 500+ each for a bargain through a mate and just curious as to how everyone has mounted thier gauges.
Im not keen on drilling into the dash lol so any other solutions. I noticed someone on the recent WA cruise had a pillar pod that look like a good fit, anyone know the make/model # of a good one that will fit our pillars?
I've been thinking of putting two gauges in the cupholdes as that way there out of my face and don't attract too much attention. Im stuffed for idea's so please guys if you have any let me know.

Hence why I think the cup holders might be a good idea, its out of my face but clearly visable. Only problem is, i like my cup holders lol.

I have two gauges and a shift light on the A-Pillar and have had no problems.
The way i see it, i have put holes in the A-Pillar to mount them in cups but have purchased a new A-Pillar trim too so if i take them out, i put the new trim and there are no holes.
Makes sense and looks good.

I am planning for under the head unit, there should be enough space for two, maybe three even if you get the smaller ones.
My other idea which I have heard of no one else doing here, I am keeping secret till I reveal it. :snooty:

Use your ash tray? I will try track down some photo's but I have seen people remove the ashtray and remod the facia and put two guages in there. Still have use of the cigarette lighter for your fairy wand lol

hey blake, what about putting velcro under the mounts of the gague and on the right hand window corner on top of the dash, sounds dodgey but on my mates car it looked prtty good, so theres easy removeal for when u need to and no drill holes :p

Yeah I was thinking of removing the ash tray part with the cigi lighter and making my own surround out of fibreglass, but all too hard lol
Would look good if you could pull it off. You would be able to do it if you used the original part as the base and built it up with fibreglass to house two gauges. But unfortunatly I have zero experiance with fibreglass :doubt:

Greetings All.
What about here?? Where a mobile kit would normally be??
(note: i already have holes there from a ex mobile kit...so i may as well get a couple of guages to mask it!! :P )

Blake, remove one of your middle air con vents out and stick it in there..

thought about that too but would look dodge, was thinking of removing the driver vent to the right near the apillar and making a surround.

Greetings All.
How about my idea?? (Above)
At least if ya wanna remove the gauges, you can source a new surround from the wrekers for cheap...

:D Mount them off the ceiling, Monster Truck style :D

Yeah thats the other thought i had.. But if you do that.. You cant air con from both sides.. With 1 removed from middle vents you can still get it on both sides..

After looking at all these pictures of my magna, I am beginning to miss her - maybe thats because I have had to drive a 30 yr old celica for hte past 6 months, and I still havent taken delivery of my supra yet, I am sure my supra will satisfy me entirly once it gets here.
