just need some help on this issue.My Car battery was dead so i jump start the car , then engine light was on. Now there is new battery in car Still it was on. Is that something to worry about.

disconnect the battery for a while - say 30 minutes and then reconnect. Light should be gone.

Had exactly the same problem after jump starting. My mechanic told me to leave the car in drive but stationary for 30 minutes (handbrake on!!) and it solved the problem. Weird??
