Have heard one former member state it can be done but as far as I know has never been done. If you were to change the main loom perhaps but aside from that there would be quite a but to do

I know the reverse has been done - when Sat Nav was retrofitted to my original VRX the kit came with LCD clock and other console

I presume so one didn't look at the "com error' message all the time.

Kit came with multimedia harness WM122 used to connect to LCD clock with multi display harness to be disconnected from unit and cable tied in safe place

I can scan the complete instructions if needed - PM me if u want me to email them to you.

I tried this a few years ago, and pulled the whole centre console apart trying to do it.

The loom simply isn't there, so it can't be done easily. An entire loom swap (as Mal suggests) or a hell of a lot of circuit diagrams and soldering would be required.

Quite a shame really.

Can bus is a simple current loop interface with collision sense balanced with terminating resistorstopologies., similar to other serial comms

Just six wires including power for the multi display....but change the looms if you don't own a soldering iron I guess....

sounds like mission impossible looks like clock stays or scan gauge could fit in its place simple mount and plug into OBD11

Ok...but did you know about all the extra features like controlling the lights, wipers, security etc which appear in the setup menus on that display.....?
