One of the mods I had done in the last few days is the new exhuast, it is a dual system made up of two lukeys and two vq statesman tips, whole thing took about 3 and a half hours to make up, but it's soooooo well worth it.
Not one bit of drone, and a sound totally unique, it gives good gains too, 2nd gear wheelspin not a problem even with the 225s.
Please dont ask price, as may offend some younger viewers.
Sorry about the quality of the pic, spending too much on car and not enough on decent digicam. :bowrofl:

It's installed on the 3L yeah? Because I don't think it's worth it doing it on the four cylinder..
Nice work... :)
Wins: VS V6 2 : V8 VS 1 : Honda S2000 1 : Camry 1 : V8 VN 1 : TL VRX 1 : Honda Accord 1 :
You took on an S2000 and won? Did he race you or he doesn't know how to drive?.. Just curious coz, your car would have to be doing 6 seconds to beat him...

i'd second that. your car will have to be boosted to win the guy from standstill (assuming the guy knows how to drive). unless you are on the highway cruising at 100 or more km/h might you have a chance of pulling away from the s2k.

Not to diss anyone at all, but even at 100km/h onwards, the S2K would still be winning, unless you are racing him on an incline in which the 3L's torque will be able to hold the S2K off....

Cool. Got extractors yet?
I thought you had a 2.4L....did you get a new magna too?

fair enough. i'm a honda fan too :D if i werent going back to the states next yr i would've gotten myself a nice accord euro to play with  incidentally there is a facelift for the s2k out already. and how does the euro go after mods? i've driven a stock one hard and it doesn't feel even as exciting as a stock celica... which is an understatement for honda

I am unemployed, that's why I sold the 2.4, but I have had the 3.0l v6 MANUAL for some time now.
The S2000 win was we where in the city at the set of lights near turbot st but the onramp going out of the city, it does go on an incline and yes we were racing, we both had a lane each so it was even stevens, trust me it was very close, but I was the first to make it to 140ks at which point we both backed off, then about a klm down the highway he slowly drove past me and had a bewildered look on his face and was just starring at the car.
I checked the quarter mile times for these cars and they are high 14's, most around 14.9, so it's not out of the question, after all most of it comes down to driver skill and remember I have a manual not an auto.
Most manual magna's are around the 15.3's to 15.5 seconds over the quarter.
And NO I aint telling how much, cause it's TOO much, might make me cry if I type it.

Those times u got for the S2K were times tested in Australia yeah? Because everywhere else, the S2K delivered a mid 14 sec 1/4 Mile and 6 second 0-100km/h launch...Even in Hottie SIngapore...
I figured the driver of the S2K doesn't know how how to play with the VTEC powerband...

LOL :P... The Euro isn't in the same league as a Celica :P The Teg R is though :D, The car's alright, Bain took it for a spin the other night, I'll leave the comment to him :) and let him tell you :)

Exhaust looks good..
Re: the S2000 thing, wouldnt they be easier to beat if he didnt rev it to like 8000 and dump it? They wouldnt be much of a prob if he took off from low revs, and was caught out of the psycho zone (6000+)

That's ok, he copied my exhaust tip :P lol
The dualies look awesome! I want them too, but I've heard it's a no go on the 2nd gens due to where the fuel tank is. Ah well.

Just because you got a Honda doesn't mean you need to keep defending one when it loses a race. lol Just because the specs on paper are better than a particular car don't mean anything on the road. Yeah, the times tested were in Australia and this race was also in Australia.
The Celica makes the same power figure as your Accord Euro at 140kw and does it with 1.8 litres not 2.4 litres

Right.. and I said earlier that these cars are NOT in the same league.. go compare the Celica with the Teg R.. Or if you still want to compare it with the Euro.. Euro R then.. lol
Oh and I am not defending it because I own one *Doh* There have been cases where some here claim to beat a so and so car which seemed so untrue, lets just say commodore.. I'll be rooting for the commodore.. I try to state facts and acertain who will win.. Not Just because I drive a particular make dude... If a stock civic owns your Magna.. I'd say it's impossible coz your car will definately be faster, but I'll take it down the civic driver being a much better driver than you and you not knowing the powerband of your car... Make sense my friend? lol

oops..my bad about the Type R...couldn't figure out what Teg R was...until now...don't get me wrong..I love Hondas..my family owned Hondas all their life..the build quality of my magna isn't any where near the build qualities of Hondas...
VTEC's sound great. Loved driving Nick's car :)
The S2000 story is laughable.. But ill let that one go...
Nice exhausts though!

good post. even formula 1 drivers admit that the cars are the real competitors and the drivers are like jockeys along for the ride lol

8k... dont do that you'll kill it, most family cars only get to 4,000 rpm
I can see why you've copped a bagging. If you want to post something, can you make it inteligent? Most family cars rev higher than 4000rpm.

Umm... the 8000rpm was in reference to a Honda S2000 and his comment was in reference to dumping it an just spinning it. You won't get a good launch while revving at wither 8000, 6800, (actually rev limiter is just passed 7000 in a manual magna), or even 3000rpm, (unless you're prepared to waste your clutch.

Hold your horses - my previous car had power max at 3700 and torque max at 1700.
But it wasn't a Poofta-Lasa, but a 4.1 Cortina. The quickest tank in the 'burb.
Still miss it....
Who is this guy anyway? Go away, wasting our time.
