Hi guys,

As per the title, I have a knock/tap coming from the Front Drivers side wheel when I press and release the brake pedal. It is intermittent and normally does when the pedal is pressed after car was moving. Meaning, it wont do it, if the car is in Park and I press and release the pedal several times.

I cant hear it do it when the car is moving, only when just coming to a standstill or when just about to take off, after being stationary.

Brakes work fine with no issue or shudder and ABS is working fine. Brake pads are about 50% worn and fluid was replaced 5,000km ago.

Seeing as it all works fine, I haven't been too concerned, but the sound is starting to annoy me.

Seized caliper guide pins. have had the issue front and rear on mine. I just had a knock on application and release from the rear. Can't say it could be heard driving but certainly pulling up and parking .

I knew the pads were close so just did them and RR was seized, as soon as that was fixed clunk gone.

I think being in the tropics and having plenty off rain, driving through deep water is not helpful. It was just the bottom guide pin RHS on mine, both fronts had an issue.

Slight corrosion and some pitting.
