I need to replace the front lower control arm bushes on my KH Verada, just wondering is it best to buy the standard mits rubber ones or the nolathane offset ones? I find the steering is a little light and can be a bit wonderary and I would really like to improve the way it feels to drive, any thoughts on what is best?
cheers

Fit the OEM bushes, then, if you can get one, fit a TL or Ralliart Steering rack if you want firmer steering and no on center feel.

Thanks for your reply, I have read you need the power steering pump from a TL too, is this correct?

Yeah, the rack and pump have different valving.
There is a big difference in steering, I had a TH before my KL, and there is more feel and feed back in steering and straight ahead and on center feel doesn't feel dead

Grelise, how would you compare stability and turn in?

Before I had my car lowered, the difference in turn in and stability between my TH and the KL was very noticable. Where the TH was light, and on center feel felt dead, and on turn in, felt like you could turn the wheel then the car decides after a brief pause that it would turn too.
In the KL, the steering is firmer, turn in is immediate and virtually no on center deadness in the steering. Since lowering, this has sharpened up the steering more aswell.
If you want to feel the difference yourself, see if you can take a spin in a TL.

How much of it is the rack though and how much is the less worn suspension and stock rear swaybar fitment?
Though it seems like a good upgrade overall

I have a TJ and TL, at about the same km. Grelise's observations are spot on, and it is not due to km or the age of the car. TL feels much more stable in a straight line and more responsive around corners, even though the TL is a wagon and the TJ a sedan. TL is more relaxing to drive, too.
(Wife's 2011 Lancer has electric steering, can't get used to it. Absolutely no feel to the steering, and I constantly crank on too much steering wheel, or not enough, when cornering.)
