Any suggestions on how to overcome this leak of the transfer pipe between the manifold and water pump,,

the parts seem relatively in good condition no serious corrosion at all, accordind to the manual you just wet the orings a slip them on, did that leaked all the coolant,,,,,,,,,,,,,

obviouslu a new water pump manifold etc would be the last resort but wondered if there are any mods like maybe packing the oring with plumbing tape, or silicon etc,,

In theory, that should do it. If there is dirt or corrosion on that joint, it will leak though. Your "last resort" option is probably the smart thing to do.
