Hey all,

Just want to say thanks to everyone who has helped me out in my last 2 threads, been awesome picking your brains and filling my non mechanical one with some knowledge.

I have anew question which i hope is answered with some positive news, i can hear tapping sometimes under my 380's engine on and off (usually when im idle) and when i took it to the mechanic, he said its a very normal thing in the 380 as it is a valve just opening and closing and not the tappets as i feared.

Still... does anyone else have anything to add to this? Should i be worried? It literally comes on and off when im idle or in low speed and will disappear again.

Thanks again!

Mitch

I'd say it's actually your emission control valve. It's just behind the manifold under the strut bar on the LHS. If you hold the hose it's connected to you'll actually feel it pulsating in sync with the noise...
