Anyone ever noticed the informative Mitsubishi Magna article on wikipedia?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Magna

A user, OSX, continues to leave a basic photo of a white TE Magna as the main picture. Going by his gallery on Wikimedia Commons, his hobby seems to be taking photos of random cars on the streets and then splashing them on Wikipedia. Originally, the TE Magna was replaced by the photo of a TJ VR-X in the same article but he objected; now he is objecting also to a TN Elite, which of course belongs to the first series that created the Magna heritage.

Anyone can make revisions to that page (via the "Edit" tab), including replacing the main picture with an appropriate photo that meets Wikipedia copyright requirements. Here is the Revision History for that page, containing OSX's reasons for insisting on his ordinary TE photograph http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mitsubishi_Magna&action=history

The Australian automotive media ALWAYS uses the TM-TN series in their articles when talking about the Magna generations. Example: http://www.drive.com.au/motor-feature/a-salute-to-australias-10-most-important-cars-20120119-1q7ik.html

This poll is to determine what is the most important series of Magna and best representative to be used as the main photo on wikipedia.

Gotta be First Generation as that is where it all started with Magnas and how most books articles etc would have it!! vee

I don't think the first generation was called a V3000, different car

I think the V3000s were based on the narrower Eterna/Galant body, rather than the wider Australian-produced Magna version.

I think they added about 75mm to the width

Current picture is of a TL LS.

My own feel would be to go with the one which ran longest / sold the most, as being most representative of the name-plate overall.

But, there's only space for one image, so whichever one is chosen will be grounds for complaint from others who think "their" contender should have been chosen instead...
