Hi,

I've got a problem with the electrics in my driver's electric seat in my TW VRX.

The seat goes backwards, up and down without hesitation but it just doesn't go forward at all.

I've known this since I bought the car but the guy I purchased it from was almost the same height as me so it was never a problem, until I got the car back from the repairer after being rear-ended.

They adjusted the seat well back from where I left it and because it just doesn't go forward its becoming uncomfortable and potentially dangerous as I can only just depress the clutch fully and if it were an emergency the brake pedal may not go all the way down because of the seat.

(In-case u weren't aware i'm a short bugger ;) )

So, Does anyone know of a way of fixing this?

Im almost certain its not the motor thats at fault due to the other adjust abilities still working, so it's the switch. How can I fix this?

What's the best/cheapest way to go about it DIY?

Thanks guys,

P.S. if anyone in WA wants to lend a favour I'll be for ever grateful

Have you tested the motor to determine if the switch is faulty ?

The forward/rear motion is a seperate motor, so you can test it independently.

Not sure if this helps much, but I've found all the interior ( including inside doors ) connectors to prone to poor connections and getting dirty etc...

All my switch gear has been fine, but connectors that need cleaning so the work again are F Pass n Drivers door locks, power window (Main) rear power windows, Drivers power window, ABS Seat connectors, which I ran another set of connectors in parallel to fix...
May or may not help, but worth a look and easy ( and cheap) to remedy...
