First Hi to everybody

Have been visiting the site for awhile, but have recently joined as Series my 1 Pajero has died and am putting a TS Magna V6 wagon (228 km on it)which i was given for nothing back on the road as my daily drive. However need to replace the sound system am looking for a double din unit that has radio but with both cassette and CD player(single or stacker), was wondering if , such a unit was ever available from Mitsubishi and if so does any body have one for sale (know Ford did one for the AU series)?

At some stage in the future would like to replace the complete exhaust system and also fit a set of headers, so if anybody knows of one for sale or one coming up in the future, let me know please? I am in Heathcote Junction, Vic and prepared to travel a reasonable distance to pick up the exhaust system and postage is also ok on the sound system.

Thanks
Christopher

Cassette and CD player? That would date the unit quite badly, going back a few years there. You would be hard put to find one in good condition and reliable enough to last you a few years. Even the standard factory CD /radio unit in the Magna doesn't usually last past 10 years.

I'd be more inclined to go for a single DIN radio with USB input, a 4 GB USB stick with MP3s will let you listen to many hours of music. Places like JBHiFi have them cheap.

Same thing for a full exhaust, you may also be wasting your time and money buying second hand.

Anyhow, good luck. Got a local wrecker you can check out?

As far as I'm aware the Magna's didn't come out with a double din unit with CD/Cassette. Ford, Subaru and some others did but not Mitsu :(
Maybe chuck in a search into ebay etc. - like this... http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_odkw=cd+cassette+-converter&_osacat=131090&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xcd+casset te+-%28converter%2C+adapter%29&_nkw=cd+cassette+-%28converter%2C+adapter%29&_sacat=131090
...and see if you can pick up another make or aftermarket unit - might be the only option. :(

You could also consider starting a WTB thread for the exhaust / sound system - to see what people have lying around. - http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=53

Thanks GRDPuck

Had done a search in the whats for sale on the exhaust system going back 6 months figuring anything past that would have been sold, thanks for the idea of using WTB will do that for both and see what happens.

Hi mate,
I have recently replaced the stereo in my KJ verada. It had a tape player and 4 cd stacker from factory. I believe the harness is the same as my KR 1992 verada, so it could be a possibility that the combination could work. The two units combined took up 2 din spaces. I didn't throw the items away.

Don't think i haven't got enough posts as yet to PM you can you PM me with a price and maybe we can do a deal, it would be good to put a Mitsubishi one in rather than another OEM's unit, have had no luck as yet trying to find a new aftermarket unit here in Australia, some pretty nice stuff available EX USA, however believe there "auto station "shift jumps at a different interval to what our's does, thanks ?
