Hey everyone,
Just want to thank you in advance for the help. I can find virtually nothing about this car online.
Heres the long story short
92 Diamante 3.0 ATX, factory ECS, ABS and TCL.
Mods, 3000gt coilovers modded to fit Diamante, Vanity body kit, IPT built transmission with ProTorque converter, Hard Intake, Lightweight pulleys, 100 shot wet nitrous kit with all the safeties, Hotwired Walbro fuel pump.
Im probably forgetting a few but I just tried to list relevant ones.
So, a few months ago I took the car to a local shop to have the ipt transmission installed. They swore up and down they were familiar with the car. Well after a few nightmares I got the car back. At this point I am not communicating with the shop, not interested in having them touch the car.
So since I got the car back I have my ABS light permanently lit and my TCL Off light stays on upon startup and then soon starts flashing.
When I got the car back I found a few connectors unplugged including one of the computers in the trunk. Once plugged in the only difference was that the TCL OFF light started flashing after a few blocks of driving, and not immediately upon startup.
Hopefully you guys can get me started in the right direction. I have a ton of work to do on it this summer and I need to get it running correctly.
Also, would one of the new programmable ECUs for this platform be able to just eliminate any feedback from these systems. I dont want them anyway
Thanks again

Diamante..they have them in new Zealand and America ...couple of owners here in Australia.... very few run nitros as a street car .. Think Western Australia may permit
its a 3 ltr right ...... will see who is active in the forum 2014 --and owns one
.A bit may be sorted by remapping .. I think they didn't do the TCU to ECU match up well
Do you have a scanner handy and a Trusted dyno tuner close by .
ABS is the anti skid braking system right -maybe they broke a sensor or a plug not connected
leaving things unplugged is sloppy
Did you add this bit of kit
IPT The A/T Boost Controller.
The A/T Boost Controller works by intercepting the signal between the TCU and transmission, thereby giving the driver the ability to select the shift quality that is appropriate for the given driving conditions.
This 3” X 4” black box can be mounted in the cockpit or under the hood and provides the user with four different levels of shift feel.
1. OFF- stock TCU signal (pass through mode)
2. Moderate- extra shift feel for daily driving
3. Heavy Duty- firm shifts for racing or 'spirited' street use
4. Race Only- max pressure- not recommended for continuous street driving
The A/T Boost Controller works in conjunction with a shift kit, a performance transmission or as a stand alone unit with no other modifications.

From what I have read, the IPT trans is a direct replacement for the one you had, and is driven off the same ECU/TCU and software correct?
If so, then they have started playing with the electronics and shouldn't have. This job would have been mechanical only.
The TCU ad TCL are integrated into everything. But the Diamante uses a multiplex harness so you can simply get fault codes from the computers through a OBD2 cable.
I'd guess they have left some sensors unplugged.

IPT is a full tranny internal hard parts rebuild nothing more
they screwed up some how ..needs a scanner first ..then go from there
which programmable ECU for the diamante ...I dont know the answer to this question yet

Yes, It was a transmission from IPT, with a protorque built torque converter. I just was not sure if something could have gone wrong with the install to cause the tcl off light staying on and the ABS light.
I know it should have been a mechanical only job, but they decided to adjust my rear coilovers without me asking and to do that in this car you pretty much have to unplug the computers in the trunk to get to it. Though when they are plugged back in it still does this. Another thing, I recently pulled all the old ECS equipment off the car, such as compressor and air lines. Wonder if removing that and unplugging the connectors going to them could have had anything to do with it. Not sure if signals for ABS and TCL are routed through those. Cant find anything about those components online.
As far as sensors, they could not get the hub off on one side, so they had to get a new assembly, so I am sure the wheel speed sensors got touched/transfered. They put a used unit in without asking. Not happy about that considering the cost that went into the build. Dont want some undocumented junkyard parts haha. I will follow the wheel speed sensor wires the next day I work on it.
What scanner can I use? this car is OBD1. Wonder if the kind at an auto parts store will work. I also have a datalogger. Will it really give that detailed an explanation on such an old vehicle?
About the programmable ECU. I know they have one for the 3000gt, and the ECUs for the diamante and 3000gt are mostly compatible (I had my ECU tested by swapping it into an ATX 3000gt and the car drove fine). I was curious if I could get an ECU like that and just disable the TCL and ABS functions.
I figured it was worth a shot, because in America at least, the wheel speed sensors are 400 each and most other parts are pricey as well. So if I could just pay less than a grand for a programmable ECU and be done with it, it would be worth it.
The nitrous is just temporary. I have all the parts for a twin turbo conversion, I just wanted the built trans first. Now I am waiting to resolve this first.

What did they do to you car ?
first correct the flashing light problem ..twin turbo can be done on the 3 liter motor

online is the best place to find a good scanner ...we did have the codes for it listed in the forum once ..
This cheap one claims it does both 1 and 2 functions

Not sure what they did haha. I had to go to the shop twice while they were working on it because they triggered the cars security feature that puts it into lockdown and they couldnt get it started. Not a good sign.
I will try and figure out a way to test these things this weekend and get it scanned.
Thank you guys for all the links and help
