I have had my Mitsu Magna for about... 15 years now? And I wanted to ask about any options for induction both Super or Turbo? Of course inter-cooled, But I wanted to ask but, what exactly would I need and roughly how much would it cost?
List of items and cost and where to buy would be greatly appreciated :3
Thanks In Advance :)

I would get in contact with either Raptor Superchargers (Mackay) or Bullet Supercars (Gold Coast) about supercharging. Sprintex used to make Magna superchargers but I'm not sure if they can still make them to order.
I don't think anyone has a turbo kit ready to go for a Magna.
If it was me I would be allowing about $10k for drive in drive out.
Your profile says that your car is virtually standard. For me, I wouldn't bother with getting blown unless I had upgraded my suspension and brakes first - there's little point in that much power in a heavy FWD car if the rest of the car can't keep pace.
You should also consider a 3.8l conversion along with a manual or 5 speed tippy.

Bullet cars is the only ones to do new supercharger kits for magnas, you might be able to find a sprintex or raptor kit secondhand, There is a guy in qld who is currently doing a twin turbo install which is at the tuning stage and has a single turbo setup in the works also. contact me if you want more info.

True True, I was thinking about the engine swap and tranny swap. Once again, I really need a list of parts and I was thinking about upgrading the suspension to a 380 and possibly the brake rotors and brake calipers. Is it just a straight out swap? Is the body able to compensate? With the new 380 engine? Could I use straight away bolt on a 380 manuel tranny as well? A lot of questions come up :p
I'm just hoping you guys are willing to help me if I need it :)
If you could give me a list, I would appreciate it :3
Thanks In Advance.
P.S. With the new 380 engine would it be easier to find a supercharger for it?

I would recommend searching through the forums as all the questions you have asked have been asked many times before, and there's a lot of good information already out there.

There's very few supercharger kits in existence for a 380. If you are insisting on FI you would be better to do it to a 6G74.
Plus, by the time you bought a 380 motor, gearbox conversion (either manual or 5 speed auto), supercharger, suspension/brakes, and then had someone install the lot... you'd easily be looking at $15-20k... on a Magna that's probably worth about $3k. Lots of good second-hand cars out there in that price bracket these days - would you consider moving onto something else?

I was thinking about that? I was thinking about making the magna into a project car and just getting maybe another Mitsu. I'm attached to that car like glue. haha Hmmmmm, I was just wondering about a 380? But would it be hard to squeeze some power into it? And I see that you have the GT version? What differs it from the others?
Well first off, what's the condition of the car & engine?
Second, what's your budget and time frame?
What are you trying to aim for? Something quick? Something unique?

Nothing wrong with that - just as long as you know what you're getting yourself into.

Yes and no. Extractors, rear muffler, Galant intake and a re-tune will see a good increase in power. But from there's not much that can easily be done.
Keep in mind that a 380 GT is probably a good 200-250 kg heavier than your current car.
And I see that you have the GT version? What differs it from the others?
All 380s have identical engines/transmissions/exhausts. SX, VR-X and GT share the same 'sports' suspension tune. The GT model isn't that dissimilar to a VR-X model with leather - GT has a couple more bits and bob (which I'm happy to elaborate on if requested) but nothing crazy unique.

its all whether you want to sink money into it.
Red has a fair point that there is faster/cheaper/better equipped cars for the money. ideally you could swap the 380 engine in with a manual(if thats your thing), then maybe a exhaust, magna converted 380 manifold and a tune probably for less than 5k(i only know what the 380/manual convert price not anything else).you will also want to look into a 380 caliper upgrade with fresh rotors and decent pads so you stop well, along with fresh shocks and springs(if not already) and possibly some swaybars to help control the power.
with turbo and S/C, there are bolt on kits but these cost heaps as mentioned and most, if not all of the turbo parts would need to be custom fabricated to suit. you would also be limited most likely to what boost levels you can run without damaging internals/having to stick stronger ones in.
when im off my p's i wouldnt mind playing around with little bits of boost on mine, depending on cost of course :D

Haha, Fair enough. Thanks for the replies :P
I will think about my budget and all that, work out the kinks and see if I can get a tranny swap before August :)
