After having my camshaft oil seals leak heaps of times now, and now my spark plug tube seals leak, this is due to the aftermarket seals are of a cheaper quality seal and actually not the exact same size as OEM causing me these headaches. It could just be me but im leaning more towards aftermarket seals not as good as oem,
And mitsubishi is starting to run out of parts for these things, mabey we should do a BULK order for parts we KNOW are needed down the track if we plan on keeping these cars and do a massive group buy and get a much better price, each state should do their own buy
Also on a completely separate note, if running a oil catch can, make sure damn well you have the correct fittings, otherwise you will cause excess pressure in your head BLOWING out your seals, my catch can is fine, but after my mate in hes 380 ran hes (different fittings) he said it started to run like a dog, so took alook at it and unplug the hose going back into the intake and could head pressure building up like crazy trying to escape...We found that the baffles in the catch can where to damn small and not allowing a free flow, after changing the catch can it ran smooth as butter...
I did find running a catch vent to atmosphere ( i know total defect) does actually help a "little" with my backfiring while off throttle, but it has made it SPIT more crazy sounding like a RB motor hitting limiter during high rpm shifts (ive got livo exhaust on it)....
I have also noted the car does breath/respond better during cruising (this could be the pablo effect)
A very minimal amount of oil goes through the can tho, VERY MINIMAL, but the VAPORS geez take a sniff of the filter on the can while running you will faint, I think to myself " car 1 environment 0" hahaha
