Can you tell me whether I can fix a loose power window button (front passenger), The window winds up & down fine but the button is very loose so I have stopped the kids from using it just in case I can't get it up one day.
Do I need to replace the whole window button section or can I just see my auto electrician to fix it.
Does anyone know what I am up for?
Many Thanks
New Magna owner.

You need to replace the window switch.
They can be purchased through us as either used refurb (change over required) or as a new after market unit which has stronger buttons to prevent this from happening
The button itself is the issue, they are quite weak where they attach to the main body of the switch unit.

It's easy to pull out and replace.

Yes, it is easy to pull out and replace the switch but not the button as first you need to actually find a button and then you need to dismantle the switch to replace the contacts into place as they will all fall out when you take the button out

What model do you have? from Mals description I think he's talking about the centre console switches from the tl/w. If you have a te-tj with the switches on the door, you can get one from a wreckers

The KL and KW use the old style windows still. Harder to find at a wreckers which is why I didn't mention them =)

So when you say loose, are you talking physically? As in the button pop through the housing when pushed or pulled?
If so Id just attack the underside with some 5 minute epoxy, on my TE I have the switches on the door but one of the latches broke that held the passenger button in, every time I would go to bring it back up the button would pop down into the door card.

I have an 2004 ES, the switches are in the centre console. The button is almost lifting out of the socket. I was hoping for an easy fix, not a replace the lot. So what price am I looking at to replace? Thanks
