Bugga. I've been so busy lately i forgot the regular service on the FWD.
Its been about 10 months and 15 thousand k's.

Anyhow, checked it today and the level is near the low mark! Its never been that low!

Never been below the max mark actually. I've no idea how long its been like this, just did 200k's in it this week alone. I'm surprised how low it is.
I checked the ground where its regularly parked an theres no oil stains. Cant see any leaks.

Anything i should check? An could i have done any damage at this level?

lol exact same scenario for me with my wagon this week. 10months & 14k, oil at low mark..... embarrassing!

She'll be fine, but not worlds best practice!

No harm in letting the oil level drop to the low mark. Letting it off the dipstick altogether, is another matter.

My TL at 160,000 km does similar, except I top it up when it gets to midpoint, which takes 6 to 7,000 km. When it gets down to the middle again, I know it is time to change the oil. So I guess if I left it and didn't top up, it would be on the low mark after 12-14,000 km.

Topped it up, less than half a liter. Cars done 225k's now, but i didn't realise it burns oil that quick.
The KL has done 7k since last service and the level is still spot on.

these engines will consume some oil after 120k, so going 15k over for almost 30k without oil change means half a litre isn't outside the realms of possibility. The other thing is, if you had just done a long hot 200k trip, you may have burnt off any moisture in the oil which would be artificially showing a higher than true level on the dipstick.
