is the compressor off my 99 TH Exec manual 3.0l V6 fit onto my 96 TE Exec auto 3.0l V6?.. the idiler pully looks like it's in the wrong spot to fit my TE with the compressor from the TH and i just wana know before i waist time trying to swap and get them to work. something seems diffrent but i'm just paranoid i'm going to stuff this up seeing as my luck has been running on dry recently. rocker cover rattling is alot worse and it's not blowing white smoke so it's going off the road and just going to get my TE on the road only thing left really is just steero and AC compressor or a smaller belt but the shorter belt is going to be about 50 bucks.

Couple of years ago I had a TE with a noisy AC comp bearing. Also had a wrecked TJ with low kays. The compressor off the TJ bolted up fine to the TE mounts, with bit of gentle bending also got the pipes to line up and seal properly. When I took it to my local auto elec for a regas it wouldn't work because of the electrical connections between the compressor and the car. Can't remember the exact cause but I was told the two systems are not compatible. TH compressor may be an earlier style and maybe ok. Take your car and and your TH compressor to wherever you intend to get the regas done and ask them.

as long as it all fits together, i dont have the money to get it regassed not to mention on the TE the wires for the compressor weren't even connected. i just need to get the compressor on because $20 for a degas and swap the compressor unit is cheaper than $40 for a shorter belt without the compressor. as long as it all bolts up fine and i can get the lines to connect to it.
