My father inlaws 2001 Magna transmission lost all drive and he was told the transmission was bugged. He fitted a second hand trans from a car that he saw drive into the workshop for removable but the car still has the same fault, is there a sensor or something like that that can stop the transmission from going into drive or maybe a ECU fault . I am new to this site and are sorry if this topic has been covered before, but he about to send the car to the crusher and it is way to good for that.

The only thing that will stop the car driving is there is no fluid pressure, this needs to be tested prior to doing anything else
