Has anyone tried these?

Am looking to do my plugs (gathering the willpower and $!) soon, and want to know everyones opinion on"

Platinum vs Double Platinum vs Iridium vs GPower vs ??

Would be keen to hear from the Magna King..Mal, given he probably changed and noted the condition of more plugs than I have seen in my lifetime.

My 2 cents worth coming up!

The Magna is real easy on spark plugs, and you wouldn't notice any difference between copper cored plugs and the more expensive plugs.
Only difference is the copper cored NGKs will erode slowly and open the gap up after 40 or 50 thousand km.
I replaced a set of rear plugs when I was doing the rocker cover gaskets and spark plug tube seals, they were the original double platinum NGKs from the factory. At 116,000 km they looked fresh, and went into the front bank of another Magna. Basically, the plugs will outlast the tube seals and rocker cover gaskets.

If you want to go upmarket, check out the NGKs at rockauto.com for good prices.
At $13 each for the plugs on that eBay link I think they are joking.

Iridiums aren't too much more expensive and after 100,000Km I couldn't measure a difference in gap with a feeler gauge - only changed them for sake of a breakdown in the insulation.

I wouldn't bother with Ebay.

Rockauto works out to be cheaper, as per my thread here - http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103746&

That Ebay listing is $9.50 per plug and $8 to ship to you in Tassie. Total for 6 plugs is $65. So $10.83 per plug.

Rockauto is $2.65 for the exact same plug and $35 to ship to you in Tassie. Total for 6 plugs is $50.80. So $8.45 per plug. Total saving over Ebay is $14.28.

Better yet, find a friend or 2 to buy a set with you and Rockauto (with shipping) becomes:

- $6.09 per plug (for 12 plugs)

- $4.95 per plug (for 18 plugs)

Etc.

I went for single platinums all round. Combined air filter and drive belts in the one shipment from rockauto, worked out to $5 per plug.
