I'm replacing the power steering fluid in a 1998 TF Magna.

Is it OK to use genuine Mitsubishi ATF SP3?

Or is a specific Dexron fluid needed?

I've searched and the information is conflicting.

Workshop manual says not to use SP3, from memory its dexron 2 (correct me if im wrong).

Dexron II is listed in the manual. Dexron III is just the later version of the same thing. You can safely use D III in your power steering system.
