in the process of hunting down a good steering wheel for my te exec. mines stuffed beyond trying to glue it for rwc purposes

what i'd like to know.. is the splined shaft that they go on the same for all models of te to tw?

Yes, you will be rifht with 3rd gen magna / verada. Some Evo & legnum (mono / nardi) wheels will do the job, just retro fit your cruise control etc.
