Hi guys , I am new to the magna club and after some help with my TE. I have inherited a problem with the timing while the water pump etc. being changed. Here is the info I know.
When fitting the new timing belt the left camshaft sprocket has rotated clockwise approx. third turn , then it was reset and the belt fitted. When rotating the engine by hand with the plugs out there was reisistance. Does anyone have any suggestions or info as to the best way to check and or reset the timing from this point ?

Timing is set by the ECU

I would be concerned as to the person who did this job for starters and of course when you remove the plugs and rotate the cam there is resistance, this is both the lobes of the cam trying to open valves and if turned too far the valves trying to shove the pistons out of the way

Sorry about the delay in replying but the magna is all going well. The resetting the timing was a hassle but it worked out well . I removed the engine and sorted another couple issues out , turned out sweet.
