Hey guys
Looking a a sub, a DD2512c 12in dual voice coil, second hand
Only problem is seller cannot remember if it is dual 4ohm, or dual 2ohm...
Obviously I have to know this in order to wire it properly, is there any way I can test the sub to find out its ohmerage?

Question answered!
You have to tell us now though. You're legally obliged to !!:)
Read the model number off the sub & look it up on the interwebs is one way.
Does a multimeter across the terminals work? I thought I read that the static resistance isn't the same, but have never tried.

Lol, okay okay ill share it with you....
You are right, a multimeter does the job
I thought the same thing as you, which is why I asked, but I learnt that a multimeter does the job
They arnt 100% accurate so ive been told, but as long as its close....ie, a 4ohm sub may read 4.3, or 3.8......and if its a dual voice coil, then you want them to read about the same across each coil, if they are different, means one coil is bad
