Im just wondering if anyone has ever had the seats out and payed att to where the rails and seat are bolted together?
Yesterday I removed my drivers seat to see If I could repair bolstering at all... and noticed that the steel structure of the actual seat where the studs are secured to the rail assemblywas ridled with cravkes and breaks in the steel. To the extent that one of the studs was secured with abnut ti the rails but cracked and seperated from the seat.. .
I thiuhht not to worry il get the spare I bought off ebay and just chuck that in the car (2 years younger than mine) upon inspection I found the same cracks and defect.
Im inclined to think that in the event of a serious crash this coild be dangerous...
Mine is a 2006 model and obviously not under warranty any longer but im sort of not sure what or who I should see about this... my first thought was the dealership service department... then I thought mits directly by email or phone or even the accc safety recall hotline ... im just not sure.
Its odd to find at all let alone on two seats from seperate vehicals made in diff years.

If anyones keen I think its worth checking out or if youd like to see pics let me know I can text them though.

What style seats are we talking? The standard seats or the sports seats?
