What can cause an oil leak on rear end of engine? The oil is landing on gear selector cable (auto) and one of the heater core hoses. I have felt around and it does not seem to be rear rocker cover gasket, nor can I feel any oil under the distributor. Surely there aren't any other parts around that area from which oil can leak. I am reluctant to replace the rear rocker cover gasket, unless I am sure it is the cause (it and distributor o-ring were replaced 2 years ago).

check the front too, the air flow can blow oil around the engine to make it look like it is a side/rear leak.
