Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in Sydney? I'm in the inner west but happy to go a bit further for a good mechanic.

What suburb in the inner west.? It is a large area. What work you need done.?

Thanks mate.

I'm in Drummoyne - but happy to travel, for a recommended mechanic.

Main work to be done:
- replace alternator
- replace rocker gaskets x2
- check airbags - been told they might need replacement at a cost of nearly $3k, so I really want a second opinion on this

Appreciate any recommendations you can give, King.

Pretty sure Mitsubishi can fix this for nothing, it's just a computer glitch, something that just needs to be reset. Give your nearest dealer a call.

Just yesterday for the first time apart from (Mal at Mits fix who did an exceptional job if you can get to Melbourne) used a non Mitsubishi dealer and the first thing that came to my head was why hadn't I done this years ago!

Dont be fooled by the name but Mark at Dr Diesel in Chipping Norton is who I'll be using from now on. His work is good and he seems to know what he's doing for what seems like reasonable prices.

He noticed I had a shagged rear engine mount and pointed it out so I went straight to Mitsubishi after my service and ordered a new mount only to find that the old bloke at Mitsubishi spare parts also uses him to service his own car.

When I quizzed him on why he didn't service his car at Mitsubishi like I had been he laughed and said "No ****ing way, mate" which told me enough about the company he works for!!

Seriously though, give him a call!
