Going through the service manual I spotted something, There's apparently an EGR valve at the back of the intake plenum. I've taken the plenum off twice now and don't remember anything about that. So I had a look and sure enough there's a space for it but there's nothing there. Never has been since i've owned the car
Firstly, Is there supposed to be something there?
Secondly, Where does this pipe run to so I can trace from its source to see if its dangling in the engine bay somewhere where I can't see it
Thirdly, Has this been sucking unfiltered and unmetered air the whole time?
edit: It's a KF

Does it have an opening into the intake plenum? in essence, should I block it off with something?

There should be a blocking plate covering the hole on the plenum or it is a blank and the hole wasn't made when the plenum was cast.
There will be the same on the exhaust manifold.
Introduced in the TH/KH series. Prior to this it was not fitted.
