Hello all new here. My Daughter has a 99 TH Magna with 180000 ks on the clock and a full service history. I just checked all the fluids for her before a trip and noticed the trans oil is golden like honey. It doesnt smell burnt or feel gritty. I've never encounted this before as trans oil is usually reddish or black if buggered or so i thought. Could somebody shed some light on this for me please? Thanks

Silly question, but is it manual or auto? ATF is red, MTF is yellow(From what i've used)

That doesn't seem right, the Mits SPIII ATF is a slight cherry red to dark depending on age/wear.
I haven't seen orange ATF, so would have to be non-genuine if it is ATF.
Should check though; the power steering fluid can be orange. You sure you're checking the correct fluid?

The fluid will sometimes turn a yellowish colour depending on the fluid last used, either way it needs to be changed and properly flushed

And not just drain and refill, a proper flush as Madmagna said. Pumping the new fluid through so it pushes the old fluid out before filling to ensure all the old stuff is outta there.
