I am looking to replace the drivers seat in my series 2 TJ Limited Edition Magna. I was looking at getting something with more support like something from a Subaru Impreza as I find the standard seat not to have enough support. I know that if you dont fit a seat that is recommended by the manufacturer and doesnt fit all the vicroads stuff, you need an engineers certificate. I'm too poor to be able to afford the time and money for that so am looking for a more recaro seat type alternative that will fit without too much modification. I am 5" 7 and athletic if that makes any difference. :-P thanks in advance!

If by a miracle you found another seat that would fit the standard mounting points without modification you would probably be OK. If you have to drill or adapt mounts would would almost certainly need to have it engineered.

Yes, I support bb61266's post. Maybe look into one from a VRX or Ralliart as they (may) have the support you're looking for

are the mounting points from the later magnas (TL, TW) the same as the TJ?

I thought I heard a rumor that the seats from an EVO IV would fit the standard mounting points???

Just get vrx or ralliart ones, later TL seats are slightly different in the mounting points

Will do, its so frustrating how they made subtle, minor vhanges to things. I found out today (the hard way) that between the TJ Series 1 and Series 2, they position of thw headlights was changed so the headlight protectors from a S1 TJ wont fit a S2 TJ. Only paid $7 from a wrecker for them so nit an expensive lesson thank goodness.

Headlight mounting hardware is all the same, unless you are talking about the slight differences between the glass and plastic paras, and even then, they should have still fitted.

I bought the plastic protectors for the outside of the headlights that go in front of the glass.

Exactly! Even though my ride has leather as standard I think it has no support and I want an electric seat!!! Haha
When these get installed if anyone wants to upgrade to a cream leather interior just inbox me :facejump:
