Hey guys,
Recently the driver door on my TE stopped working from the outside handle, almost like a reverse child lock. It feels like the handle is not 'latching' or something, it feels too soft from the outside. To open the door we have to open the back door and reach to the front to open it.
Just wondering if anyone knows what this problem could be and whether I can fix it myself or if I need to take it somewhere?
Thanks in advance guys!

when you pull the handle it lifts a rod. The rod has probably come unclipped from the handle. take the interior door trim off and have a look.

I had this happen to me randomly out of the blue, reconnect the clip and voila.

Clip is been broken in the past and just pushed in and hope for the best or there is no clip.

You are doing it wrong. Use a screwdriver blade to unlock & lift it off the rod and rotate it out of the way.

Some of those clips are plastic and fall apart when you unlock them. Plenty of spares at the wreckers though.
