Hey guys,
Into day two of owning my TL, and I miss the secure feeling of having an over the top alarm in my life.
The skyline this has replaced didn't come with an alarm from the factory, so I installed a staunch Codealarm brand alarm with remote start, auto window up, multiple sirens, multiple LED's and multiple immobilisation points and a key fob the size of a mobile phone...
My question is, what is the normal go in the land of the magna?
Should I do that again? If I go that route, does that mean I don't require the factory key fob?
Should I get one that integrates with a factory system? (Does this car have a factory alarm?)
I have an account with Dynamco, so I can get my hands on anything Cyclops with ease.
I need some ideas to run with, please enlighten me!

The go is individuality, do what you enjoy and stuff the rest of the car world.

Well, hmmm no information has been provided to assist the OP
I believe the Cyclops has an upgrade where you can tie it into the standard immobiliser system already in the car thus when you hit the lock button your extra alarm also kicks in
Now the Magna you have will have a factory Immobiliser as well as a basic alarm, it will simply beep the horns when it is set off. IF you want more than this you will need to go and patch in something external to this.
I am also looking for something for one of my cars although I also want tracking or at very least a system which has a sim card so will msg me if an event happens plus I can then shut down the car if it is stolen (yes I know can be bad if the thief is pulling out into traffic etc but hey, dont steal my car and then you wont run this risk)
So to add to the OP post, does anyone know of a good system which does not have a remote the size of a mobile phone which can do this, surely these exist in todays age of technology.

Look up the Viper Smart start systems Mal and OP. With whatever system, it is actually very easy to integrate it into the car's circuits. Less easy to remove which I think is the point.

I have a mongoose M80S spliced into what is a KF XI Loom, we still had to use the factory immob, the remote is not too large. Tilt sensor, impact and glass break sensor.

The alarm on my 31 can be seen here:

was slightly exaggerating on the size, but its still huge.
I'm thinking the cyclops P485 with an ultrasonic sensor and an extra non-battery backup siren stashed under the dash should do the trick.
I'm happy to retain the factory immobiliser, but i'd like to add my own to nuke a couple extra items.
anyone know what the factory one cuts?
