I have no 3rd gen repair manual - cant do rar or zip file types
just this forum of information should be great

Has anyone done a write up on how to replace all four engine mounts on the V6 motor in the car ?
has to be nasty

need help with bolt sizes- torque specs -parts that have to be removed to fit the mounts........................ any short cuts >> doubt it:pray:

is this four mount kit . the price range for mounts and will do the job

Why all four though? Unless the engine jumped right out of the car, the front and rear roll stoppers should be ok? (If you insist in replacing the whole lot, ask Mal to beat the $270 price on that eBay link.)

Would it help if someone extracted the manual and put it on CD, so that you can use Adobe Acrobat to view it?

I did have a pdf creator I would just need the odd page really
I know I can work of adobe PDFS on ubuntu its part of the software
rest of what is capable is unkown to me

in terminal : sudo apt-get install acroread

does this mean the motor and gearbox
has to be supported with that type of rig etc to fit the new gearbox mount

do you have to undo stuff to get the right lift to work in the engine bay and under ?

is there another way ?

"Support" in this case means to take the load off the mount you want to remove. A piece of flat wood and car jack under the sump would do. Jack it up enough to take the load off the mount, the bolt should just slip out. Probably only need to raise it by 1 cm or so.
Do the mounts one at a time, obviously.
Without support, the bolt won't come out, and the engine-trans will sag, making it difficult to get the mount out & in.
