I am going to buy a diagnostic tool for my mitsubishi magna but I thought the magna uses the MUT II scanner. Can I use an OBDII tool or what should I purchase?

Anybody that has one of these tools?

OBD2 scanner is about $20 on eBay. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on a Magna.
Needless to say, the right scanner is VERY expensive.

I thought that was the case :-/ ah well yeah I looked on ebay and the MUT III is $3000!

Was any other scanner available at a reasonable price found yet ?
