as the title asks .. can you use brake fluid as clutch fluid?

when i was flushing out the old brake fluid and topping it up i decided to check the clutch fluid and its about the same horrid looking state ( ill post pic below)

i quickly searched the net and google results say typically you can use dot 4 brake fluid instead of buying separate clutch fluid when drainign and filling the resoviar.

just wanted to check from people with thge same model cars if it was safe to do or you had to use proper clutch fluid ... the brake fluid i have here is just the castrol $ 8 red bottle of dot 4 available everywhere you go lol

TIA

the pic of the color of the fluids

so long as your putting it in the resevoir for the clutch master up on the firewall, yes it'll be fine.
dont put it in the gearbox, thats where the gearbox oil goes...

lol, something about stupid questions and stupid answers, but you gotta learn somewhere...

It is called brake and clutch fluid and labled as such when you buy it from the dealer.
