How to remove the center dash piece to gain access to the double DIN head unit?
I've hunted around but can only find helpful info about the TJ dash which is similar to my KH where the top vents are separate. Mine is one piece.

I assume i need to pull out the tray at tne bottom and then pull the dash from the bottom?
Are there any screws, tricks and traps?

Take the lower console out, it should pop up from the rear,
Remove the lower dash pocket,

Then pull the upper centre console trim from the lower edge, pulling out and upwards. Pop it either side of the airvents and then it should come out after disconnecting the hazard switch and the climate sensor. Be careful of the climate sensor, they are made poorly and often break off.
